The "J-1" visa is for educational and cultural exchange programs designated by the Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs. The "J" exchange visitor program is designed to allow international participants to pursue training in their area of study or occupation in order to improve their knowledge of American management techniques, methodologies, expertise and culture.
MS2K Career Management offers two J-1 programs: the Management Training & Practical Training Program, Internship Program, and the Work & Travel Program.
Management Training & Practical Program The Management Training & Practical Training Programs are designed for students who graduated or are on the verge to finish school and are looking to work in the US Hotel and Hospitality industry. These programs allow international students to come to the US and work for up to 12 months. In order to apply for this program the students need to a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, or Hospitality Management and must have at least one year experience within the hospitality industry. The Management Training & Practical Training Programs are to people looking for exposure to the US management techniques, expertise. This program allows qualified candidates to take on management training related positions with US hotels. Candidates are able to stay for up to 12 months in the US through the Management Training & Practical Training Programs. Who Is Eligible for the Management Training & Practical Training Program? Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible:Be at least 18 years of age. Have excellent English skills both in writing and verbally. Have educational focus and/or significant progressive experience focused on the area of training. Normally a minimum of 2 years of education and/or experience is required. Be outside the United States for a minimum of 2 consecutive years if you are had the J-1 Practical Training or Management Training visa before.
Internship Program The Internship Program is designed for students who are still enrolled in school and are looking internship opportunities within the US Hotel and Hospitality. Who Is Eligible for the Internship Program? Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible:Be at least 18 years of age. Have excellent English skills both in writing and verbally. In order to apply for this program the students need to a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, or Hospitality Management and currently enrolled in school.
Work & Travel Program The Work & Travel program is opened to students from around the world desiring to work in seasonal line positions in the US hotel and hospitality industry. This program allows students who are still in school to come to work for a period of 4 months. Students participating in Work & Travel Program are giving a month long to travel in the US after completing their 4 months work.
Who Is Eligible for the Work & Travel Program? Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible:Must be 18-29 years old Good knowledge of English Must be currently enrolled in school and in the following semester
